Dr. Lee Roberson Sermon: Compassion

Quotes By Dr. Lee Roberson “The Bible does not contain the Word of God; It is the Word of God." * * * * * * * "No Sunday School can be called great that does not have a conviction that the Bible is the Word of God. " * * * * * * * "Go straight down the line; don't vary to the right or the left!" * * * * * * * If God has called you, don't dare do anything else. * * * * * * * Don't minimize the old-fashioned churches. * * * * * * * Give an invitation at the close of every service. * * * * * * * Nothing will take the place of the plain preaching and teaching of the Word of God. Nothing is so needed in this hour as a return to the Bible. * * * * * * * The local church will have power with God insofar as she lifts up the banner of holy living. * * * * * * * A church is not a church when the passion for souls is gone. * * * * * * * God's business is to be carried on by tithes and offerings. * * * * * * * I have made lots of mistakes in my ministry. * * * * * * * There is no happiness outside the will of God. * * * * * * * God can use all of us, but He is waiting for our willingness. * * * * * * * I preached what the Bible revealed to me, and I am still preaching it today. * * * * * * *

"If you wish to know God, you must know his Word. If you wish to perceive His power, you must see how He works by his Word. If you wish to know His purpose before it comes to pass, you can only discover it by His Word." (C.H. Spurgeon)

You may find hundreds of faultfinders among professed Christians; but all their criticism will not lead one solitary soul to Christ.(D.L. Moody)

Churches don't need new members half so much as they need the old bunch made over. There wouldn't be so many non-church goers if there were not so many non-going churches. Too many churches are little more than four walls and a roof. There are some so-called Christian homes today with books on the shelves of the library that have no more business there than a rattler crawling about on the floor, or a poison within the child's reach. Home is the place we love best and grumble the most.

What we do is an expression of what we are." Clarence Sexton

 Saved by the Blood

Lester Roloff

People read newspapers far more than they read the Word of God and then we wonder way America is in the mess she's in today. This is the Book that made America great, but since it's been kicked out, we've seen America go under and down.

Cutis Hutson

In any matter where we have questions, we have a right to ask the Holy Spirit to lead us and to expect His gentle guiding.
